To establish an account go to www.twitter.com
Click the Sign up button- fill out the form- then click create my account.
Very simple to sign up and then: you will want to create your own profile if you start using your own name: you will then be branding yourself or you can use a user name you like to create for your own branding.

Once you have established your account and have created your profile: with just a little information about yourself and your weblink: www.______.automaticgeek.com you will then want to start inviting peopl to your Twitter followme.

Just have fun and go in during the day to the box on your home page that says:
What are you doing? Type in something that you would like to say or what might be interesting to someone to read.
Keep adding people to follow and check who is following you.
